The Catholic Church was the only church in Europe during the Middle Ages, Monasteries in the Middle Ages were based on the rules set down by St. Benedict in the sixth century. Pilgrimages were an important part of religious life in the Middle Ages. the cathedral at Beauvais (St. Peter) was built on the site of two tenth-century churches. Parts of one of these older churches have been preserved next to the present cathedral. In 597 Pope Gregory sent the Benedictine monk Augustine to Canterbury to introduce Christianity. One of the first cathedrals to incorporate flying buttresses, Notre Dame has a rich history.The Chartles burned down in 1194 After the death of Thomas Becket in 1170, the Cantellberry cathedral became the most famous centre of pilgrimage in England. The current nave was begun in 1373. It is one of the finest examples of the English Perpendicular style. Three rows of buttresses support the rib vaults of the nave. Beauvais is St peters church. Christianity is a religion. Catholic is a religion. Notre dame is a cathedral!

There training started at age 6. at There time they were considered a tank that were almost unstoppable. Knights Wore Chain Body armor. Archers, Footmen, Cavalry were varietys that they had came in! at age 15 Pages became squires. Knights Protected the weak. Weak were considered small kids and women. they were Most deadly of their time. all nights had to behave in a certain way. They had to behave in battle. They had to defend the church at all cost. Treat Noble women with respect. at Age 7 a boy was a Page. Page learned how to fight and use weapon
